If you're looking for something a little different and classic, consider a ribbon wand exit. As a wedding photographer, I don’t see this done enough. It’s unique and timeless! Guests can hold ribbon wands and wave them as the newlyweds make their way down the aisle. They are simply wooden rods with silk, lace, and a bell. This uncommon, fun method creates a celebratory atmosphere and make for some fantastic photos. No mess to clean up and everyone can safely participate! BUBBLE EXIT
If you're looking for a more whimsical exit, a bubble exit is the perfect choice! Many would buy those small, individual bubble containers and hand them out to guests - but there’s a better way. Get more bubbles with less effort with a portable bubble machine! Grab the perfect one here. Battery operated, bring it outside, and you’ll be surrounded by a cloud of bubbles. I got this idea from a father of the bride that was extremely proud of all the bubbles he was producing as everyone else tried to get a few out of their individual bubble sticks. The bubbles create a beautiful and dreamy atmosphere and make for some fantastic photos.
confetti exit
A confetti exit is a popular and exciting way to exit a wedding. To make it more eco-friendly, I would highly encourage biodegradable rice paper confetti or petal confetti (fresh or dried). See options here. Guests can toss confetti in the air as the newlyweds walk down the aisle, making some of the best just-married photos of all time! It truly creates a surreal moment you and your partner will never forget! Pro tip: Add paper cones, already filled with confetti, to aisle seats. Sometimes guests will forget to grab them on their way to their seats, so think ahead for them.

The best times to do an exit is when it naturally occurs in your wedding day, instead of sticking it oddly in the middle of the reception. Have your exit: coming down the aisle, leaving the church or entering the reception. This ensures a smoother timeline, happy guests, and no stress!
You want another pro tip?! When you get to midway down the aisle, stop and share a kiss with your new spouse! You can do a dip, a simple kiss, whatever you want! This helps you both soak up the moment a little longer while the photographer gets the best just-married photo!
